As per 27JAN12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Alitalia from 20OCT12 to 15DEC12 is to operate Airbus A330-200 aircraft on Rome – Toronto service, replacing Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
Operational frequencies varies from 4 to 6 weekly during this period.

As per 27JAN12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Virgin Atlantic’s initial operation changes for Winter 2012/13 season, effective 28OCT12, as follows.
Note the airline is selling 4 of its 19 Airbus A340-600 aircraft, which will be removed from service by Oct 2012. The sale is to be handled by Airbus. Changes listed below already appeared in the GDS as early as late-Dec 2011, but Airline Route was unable to determine whether it was related to the sale of A340-600 aircraft.

OLT Plans to Start Dresden – Zurich from Feb 2012

Germain regional carrier OLT plans to start Dresden – Zurich service from 01FEB12, with 3 Daily flights on weekdays, and 1 flight only on Sunday. Reservation is currently not available for the moment.
Saab 2000 aircraft operates this route. Note for the moment the airline is currently loading 1 flight per day on weekdays for flights on/after 25MAR12 in the timetable listing in Amadeus. In addition, there appears to be schedule discrepancies on return flight from Zurich, which shows 2 Daily flights.

Korean Air Splits Amsterdam & Madrid Operation from May 2012

Starting 03MAY12, Korean Air is splitting its operation on Seoul Incheon – Madrid – Amsterdam – Seoul Incheon 3 weekly service.
Service to Amsterdam is to operate nonstop in both direction 3 times a week, with Airbus A330-300. 3 weekly Madrid operation remains unchanged except operating nonstop on inbound flight as well, on board Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.

SriLankan Airlines S12 London Heathrow Operation Adjustments as of 27JAN12

As per 27JAN12 GDS Inventory display, SriLankan Airlines has updated planned operation to London Heathrow service for Summer 2012 season.
From 25MAR12 to 14JUL12 and from 03SEP12 to 27OCT12, service reduces from 12 weekly to Daily. The airline will maintain 12 weekly frequencies between 15JUL12 and 02SEP12. Reservation is now open for the additional flights (UL505/506)

ETIHAD Operation to Changes to Tokyo Narita from Mar 2012

As per 26JAN12 GDS timetable inventory display, ETIHAD starting 29FEB12 is adjusting operation on Abu Dhabi – Tokyo Narita 5 weekly service, with Airbus A330-200 operating instead of A340-500. A330-200 to continue operation after 25MAR12, during Summer 2012 season.
With A330-200 returning to Tokyo operation, ETIHAD will not be offering First Class service. Despite the aircraft change, overall capacity is increased by 22 seats per flight per direction.
