AA / Royal Jordanian launch codesharing

American Airlines and Royal Jordanian Airlines launched codeshare service between Jordan and US this week.

SIA to expand codeshare with Virgin and US

Singapore Airlines’ codesharing partner Virgin Atlantic and US Airways each submitted application to display SQ code on their own flight.

Virgin Atlantic applied for displaying “SQ” code on daily London – Chicago flight.

Mesa d/b/a US Airways Express applied for permission to display “SQ” code on Los Angeles/San Francisco – Phoenix/Los Angeles, as well as New York JFK – Charlotte.

UNITED plans to expand bmi codeshare

UNITED today submitted application seeking permission to codeshare with bmi on the latters’ service to the following cities:

Addis Ababa
Almaty
Amman
Ankara
Dakar
Freetown
Tbilisi

UNITED plans to implement the codeshare as early as 18NOV07.

From Gwangju to Muan

The new Muan Airport/MWX will be opened for operation in the first week of operation, which will handle most international services to Gwangju and near-by area.

ASIANA’s new Gwangju – Beijing service, will be operating out of the new Muan Airport from 09NOV07.

ASIANA will also launch daily Muan – Seoul Gimpo service eff 08NOV07.

Air China will launch its own Beijing – Macau flight eff 18NOV07.

JAL Cargo drops San Francisco and Atlanta

JAL today announced the change of its North American cargo operation.

The airline will drop San Francisco and Atlanta all-freighter flight, and the number of routes will be cut by 50%, from 8 weekly to 4. But the weekly frequency is reduced from 21 to 19 weekly.
