SAS applies EU-US rights
SAS is the latest European carrier to apply for rights to fly between any points in the US and EU.
Arik Air applies US service
It plans to wetlease 282-seater Airbus 340-500 (C54Y228) from Lagos to unspecified airport in the US. The carrier asked the cities in the states to be not made to public at this point.
It hopes to start service to US as early as 15JAN08 with initial departure time from Lagos around 2300, arrives in the US 0710 the next day (assuming East coast). Departure from the US is 1010 and arrives Lagos 0500 the next day.

Gulf Air launch Dammam – Kathmandu
Gulf Air has launched its first route outside of its home base this week with the new Dammam – Kathmandu service.
The flight is a nonstop flight on board A340-300, in cooperation with Saudi Arabian Airlines.
