Air Korea takes off May 2008

Air Korea, the new LCC unit of Korean Air, will start operation with 3 Airbus 300 and 2 Boeing 737 from May 2008, as per announcement by Korean Air. Korean Air will invest 20 billion Won to the new airline and plans to have a fleet of 15 planes.

It plans to operate from Seoul Incheon to Shandong and Hainan Province in China first. The new LCC will also be operating service to Japan (excluding Tokyo), Thailand and Malaysia, as well as other asian countries where it has open skies deal with.
