BA Caribbean/South America shuffle
British Airways is adjusting its network to Caribbean and South America in 2008/09 Winter timetable.
Rio de Janeiro will receive dedicated nonstop flight, while Buenos Aires will receive daily service via Sao Paulo.
In regards to the Caribbean service, it will operate nonstop flight to St. Lucia, replacing a stop in Antigua. Frequencies to St. Lucia will increase from 2 to 3 weekly.

Kang Pacific Airways of Fujairah
The 5th UAE-based carrier, Kang Pacific Airways, is currently in negotiation to operate service to Japan. The Fujairah-based airline was established in 2006, and is expected to receive operating licence from the UAE soon.
The airline is to launch operation in March 2008, flying to Colombo, Dhaka, Clark/Manila and Kochi in India.

It is negotiating for rights to Tokyo Narita, but Osaka also on the list, the routing is likely to be via Mumbai and Manila, offering fares between a low-cost and full-service carrier.

Jeju – Fukuoka has been suspended since 06JAN08 and will not be operating in 2008 Summer as well.
