China Southern Airlines is initiating codeshare deal with China Eastern Airlines, which will cover over 40 domestic routes, thus increasing routing and frequency offers.

SIA goes all Business class on Singapore – US nonstop
Singapore Airlines today announced its nonstop Singapore – Los Angeles and Singapore – Newark service will be converted to all-business class service starting mid-Summer.
Existing dual-class 181-seater will be replaced with all-Business class 100-seater onboard the A340-500. The configuration is 1-2-1. The new Business Class seats are the same design as those installed on the Airline’s A380 and B777-300ER fleet.
The reconfiguration will begin from mid-May on Singapore – Newark. Daily all-Business class service will be available by the end of June and Singapore – Los Angeles by late-September.
With the reconfiguration program, Singapore – Los Angeles service on Tuesday between mid-May to late-June will NOT be operating.

Air Canada starting 16JUN08 will offer daily year-round Calgary – Newark service with A319. The service complements existing daily flight to New York JFK.
