Lufthansa Cargo moves Central Asia hub to Krasnojarsk
According to AiRUnion’s leading member KrasAir website press release issued today, Lufthansa Cargo will transfer its operation to Krasnojarsk from 2009. A press conference which includes the building and improving of necessary infrastructures is planned for March 11, 2008.
Lufthansa Cargo’s sister company Lufthansa, has partnership deal with the KrasAir-led AiRUnion, consisting of 5 Russian carriers, which eventually may become a member of the Star Alliance.
Since November, Russian Government and Lufthansa Cargo has been in feud as the former first closed its airspace to the cargo carrier. Recently the airlines’ account in Russia has been frozen by the Russian Government, which seen as pressuring the airline to move its hub in the region.

ATA today announced it’ll be discontinuing service out of Chicago Midway Airport.

Air France 330 to Pointe Noire
In the Summer 2008 schedule effective 30MAR08, Air France will operate A330-200 service to Pointe Noire in the Republic of Congo.
As a result, Day 2 will be operated with A330-200 and Day 47 with A319LR.
