Air Nippon ends Taiwan service
Air Nippon today operated last flight to Taipei.
The airline was used by ANA in order to operate service to Taiwan when it received the rights in 1994.
Despite Air Nippon no longer operates to Taiwan with “EL” prefixed flight numbers, the Nagoya – Taipei route will still be operated with its crew and 737 aircraft. Taipei – Tokyo will be operated by ANA crew and aircraft.
Japan Asia Airways Cease Operation after 31 years in operation
Japan Asia Airways today operates its very last flight, as the company will be merged into parent company Japan Airlines/JAL.
JAA was established in mid-1970s to make sure JAL Group to maintain a presence in Taiwan due to political pressure from China.

Lufthansa has extended its re-route to Pakistan till 31MAY08.
Flights to Karachi remains suspended until that date, while Lahore service will continue to receive nonstop inbound flight from Frankfurt. Outbound will make a technical stop in Dubai.
