Ural Airlines launched a summer charter service on the Ekaterinburg – Podorica route with Ilyushin Il86. The inbound flight will make technical stop in Moscow Domodedovo Airport for 90 minutes

Korean Air 330 to Hanoi
Korean Air during the 2008/09 Winter timetable will operate 4 weekly A330-300 and 3 weekly 737-900 on the Seoul – Hanoi route.

China Airlines reduce Vancouver flight
China Airlines will not be operating service on the Taipei – Vancouver route on Monday out of Taipei.
Service will operate 6 weekly from 18JUL08 to 03SEP08.
On selected weeks it will not operate on Thursday out of Taipei as well.
SWISS reduce Shanghai frequencies
From 26OCT08, SWISS’ daily Zurich – Shanghai route will be reduced to 6 weekly.
Flight out of Zurich will not operate on Thursday.
Air New Zealand Adelaide changes
Air New Zealand currently operates 5 weekly service on the Auckland – Adelaide route. This will increase to Daily from 26OCT08
CAAC announce China-Taiwan nonstop flight designation
CAAC today announced the slot designations for nonstop service between China and Taiwan.
Air China, China Southern, China Eastern, Hainan Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and Xiamen Airlines all awarded flights to Taiwan, which the Chinese side will operate 18 weekly round-trip total between Friday and Monday.
The initial designations are the following:
- Air China: 4 weekly from Beijing
- Hainan Airlines: 2 weekly from Beijing
- China Eastern: 4 weekly from Shanghai
- Shanghai Airlines: 2 weekly from Shanghai
- China Southern: 4 weekly from Guangzhou
- Xiamen Airlines: 2 weekly from Xiamen
However, destinations in Taiwan has not yet been announced.
The scheduled weekend charter service is set to launch on 04JUL08, and there will be no restrictions of types of traveller or nationality can travel on these flights.
Taiwanese carrier has yet to announced the details.
AA drops LA – San Juan/Ft. Lauderdale
American Airlines from 01SEP08 and 02SEP08 respectively will operate last Los Angeles – San Juan and Los Angeles – Ft. Lauderdale route.
Virgin America 2008 Fall changes
Virgin America today announced the adjustment in its 2008 Fall schedule. It will be cutting off-peak flying, but adding flights during peak hours and starting new route.
Overall, it’ll fly 10% less capacity in 08Q4 than its projection. However, the Y-O-Y growth remains at +88%.
On high demand travel days, it’ll add extra daily flight on San Francisco – Las Vegas. It is launching New York JFK – Las Vegas from September as previously announced.

MEXICANA will end Mexico City – Portland OR and Guadalajara – Portland OR from 02SEP08.
