JAL Domestic route cuts
JAL is cancelling 3 domestic routes starting 01FEB09.
The routes are:
Kobe – Kagoshima
Okinawa – Fukushima
Okinawa – Kochi
ASIANA temporarily reduce Beijing service
ASIANA’s flight between Beijing and Muan and Jeju has been temporarily cancelled. Both will be resumed from 25AUG08.
Flights on the Busan – Beijing service will become 9 weekly from 27AUG08
ASIANA increase 777 service to LA
Effective 03OCT08 till 30NOV08, ASIANA’s Boeing 777 service will operate 10 of 14 weekly flights, up from 7.
Starting that date, OZ202/201 on Day 257 will be operated by 777 and Day 1346 is 747

From 26OCT08 to 14NOV08, Lufthansa’s Frankfurt – Dubai flight will be operated by A340-600 instead of B747-400
Lufthansa temporarily reduce China flights
For the month of December 2008, Lufthansa’s 3 weekly Munich – Seoul – Shenyang will be reduced to 2 weekly. 5 weekly Frankfurt – Nanjing will also be reduced to 4 weekly.
From 12DEC08 to 26DEC08, Frankfurt – Guangzhou will be reduced from 5 to 4 weekly

Pacific Blue from 22SEP08 will launch Daily Melbourne – Auckland service

JAL will operate Boeing 777 on the Tokyo Narita – Hong Kong route from 26OCT08. This is on JL735/736.

However, this flight will be operated on 15DEC08
Shanghai
Shanghai service on flight SQ830/833 will be operated by Boeing 777-300ER instead of Boeing 777-300 effective 26OCT08
There will be slight change of flight number to Shanghai as well.

NH933/934 will be operated by 737 instead of 767

Additional MAS long-haul reductions
Malaysia Airlines is reducing frequencies to following cities in addition to Taipei/Los Angeles and Stockholm/Newark
Kuala Lumpur – London Heathrow From 12OCT08 till 30NOV08 it will be temporarily reduce from 14 weekly to 12 weekly
Kuala Lumpur – Frankfurt From 02OCT08 to 27DEC08, service will be reduced from 5 to 4 weekly
