Japan/Qatar new bilateral deal

Japan and Qatar has concluded new bilateral deal.

Qatar
*Doha – Tokyo Narita service, up to 7 weekly, to begin in 2010 once the extension of 2nd runway completes
*Doha – Osaka can operate up to 14 weekly, up from 7 weekly
*Qatari carrier can now operate up to 7 weekly cargo flights to Osaka

Japan
*Japanese carrier can operate up to 14 weekly to Qatar. In particular, it can operate up to 7 weekly from Tokyo Narita once 2nd runway extension completes
*Up to 7 weekly cargo service from Japan permitted

Codeshare
*Non-Japan or Qatar-based carrier can now codeshare between Japan and Qatar
*Expansion of Qatari carrier codesharing on Japanese domestic routes
