AEROFLOT 737-500 crash in Perm

An AEROFLOT Boeing 737-500 (operated by subsidiary AEROFLOT NORD) has crashed in Perm, in the Central Ural mountains.

82 passengers reported on board.

Potential Alitalia cancellations

Alitalia may be forced to cancel some flights on Sunday due to lack of funds for fuel supply purchasing.

According to BBC Report

Alitalia later issued a note it said was sent by Augusto Fantozzi, Alitalia’s bankruptcy administrator, which said: “There are difficulties relating to the supply of fuel which could put some flights at risk,” Reuters news agency said.

The unions earlier quoted him as saying flights could not be “guaranteed” because we cannot “get fuel”.

The latest rescue plan of Alitalia has fallen apart earlier this week as the union rejected the proposal.

China Airlines suspends majority flight due typhoon

Due to Strong Category 3 typhoon Sinlaku, China Airlines has announced all operations at Taipei is suspended for entire Saturday.

Out of Kaohsiung, service between Kaohsiung and Taipei, as well as between Kaohsiung and Hong Kong, also suspended. Kaohsiung – South East Asia continues normal operation.

Long-haul service planned for Saturday departure is being delayed by 12-24 hours

Category 3 typhoon Sinlaku is moving towards Taiwan at an average speed of approximately 6-7km per hr (4mi per hr). Up to 4.5 feet of rainfall is forecasted as the storm may affect Taiwan well into Monday.
