Gulf Air, as per GDS display on 09FEB09, is introducing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the Bahrain – London Heathrow route starting 02MAR09.
Initially the 777 operates on GF007/002.
From 01MAY09, it will be operating on GF005/007 from Bahrain and GF002/008 from Heathrow

Kunming Airlines takes off 15FEB09
According to report from China’s Xinhua News Agency, Kunming Airlines will be launching operation on 15FEB09.
This Shenzhen Airlines’ subisidary will be using “KY”-prefixed flight code.
The first route, is Kunming – Changsha – Harbin, which is now on sale since 06FEB09. By the end of March, it’ll have 3 aircraft. By the end of this year, it plans to operate 10 aircraft and grow to about 30-40 by 2010. Like its name, it’ll be mainly focusing on China’s Yunnan Province but also trunk and secondary routes to the province.
