Starting 26FEB09, ETIHAD’s 8 weekly Abu Dhabi – Riyadh route will all be operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft only.
Lufthansa/TACA applies codesharing
TACA and Lufthansa has filed an application with the US Department of Transportation for starting new codeshare service.
As early as 01MAR09, Lufthansa will display its “LH” code on TACA’s Miami – San Salvador route. The codeshare will be online connection only, no stopover traffic or 5th freedom rights.

HK Express Suspends Kagoshima
Hong Kong Express from 29MAR09 will cancel Hong Kong – Kagoshima service. The cancellation is due to poor yield and the route is mainly occupied inbound tour group.
It recorded a sharp drop in low factor after Chinese New Year, which averages about 40-50% load factor.

jetStar takes over QANTAS Domestic NZ operation
QANTAS has announced that jetStar will be replacing its “JetConnect” service in Domestic New Zealand service from 10JUN09.
These flights are being loaded into the GDS.

QANTAS cancel nonstop Mumbai from May 09
QANTAS from 11MAY09 will be suspending its 3 weekly Sydney – Mumbai nonstop service.
It plans to operate service via Singapore but it is not loaded in the GDS as of 17FEB09. At the meantime, it will continnue to provide codeshare service with Jet Airways to Mumbai
