ADRIA is canceling service on 3 routes. Oslo service has been canceled, and planned service to Sofia is shelved.
In Summer 2009, it is not operating seasonal service to Birmingham UK.
V Australia launches service today
V Australia, Virgin Blue’s long-haul unit, launched its inaugural operation today, on the Sydney – Los Angeles route, marking the end of the monopoly of QANTAS and UNITED since Air New Zealand pulled out in 2002.
Prior to today’s launch, QANTAS was mostly criticized by some consumer watchdog group as well as few carriers like Singapore Airlines, on its over-priced fare strategy on one of the most lucrative trans-pacific routes, putting consumers at a disadvantage.
DELTA from 01JUL09 will also be launching this route, though no official announcement has been made so far, but it’s available to book.
QANTAS 1-stop to Mumbai from Jun 09
QANTAS has announced the change to Mumbai schedule, which the nonstop flight is being replaced by 1-stop via Singapore.
Starting 02JUN09, service originates from Brisbane, but the schedule on the Singapore – Mumbai vv sector allows connections from other Australian cities.

EVA Air reduce Ho Chi Minh flight
From 29MAR09, EVA Air is reducing Taipei – Ho Chi Minh service from 11 to 10 weekly.
BR395/396, currently operates on Day 1246, will see Day 1 service cancelled from that date due to aircraft utilization
SIA 09 Summer Hong Kong operation
As per 26FEB09 GDS timetable and availability display, Singapore Airlines has updated its operation on the Singapore – Hong Kong route for the 09 Summer season.
Service operates 5 daily.
SQ860/863, 777-300 operates until 17MAY09, then switched to 18MAY09.
By that date, SIA operates 4 Daily with 777-200 and 1 Daily 777-300ER, which continues to San Francisco
SIA Maldives reduction from Jun 09
As per GDS timetable and availability update on 26FEB09, Singapore Airlines is reducing Singapore – Male (Maldives) service from Daily to 5 weekly (Day x23) starting 02JUN09.
