Korean Air further increase HK capacity
Korean Air, as per 18MAR09 GDS timetable display, is further increasing capacity on the Seoul Incheon – Hong Kong route from 29MAR09.
Ke613/614, which originally planned to be 3 weekly A330-300 and 4 weekly B737-800, will become Daily A330.
Ryanair further reduce Dublin hub
Ryanair is further reduction its presence in Dublin starting July 09 as a response to the increase of ATC charges by 12%.

Air Macau continues to reduce Taipei flight
Air Macau as per GDS timetable display on 18MAR09 is showing Macau – Taipei route being reduced from 7 to 5 Daily in the 2009 Summer schedule, as the airline continues to cope with major drop in traffic due to the launch of direct charter flights between Taiwan and China.
In Summer 2008, Air Macau operated up to 10 Daily flights on this route.

jetStar to relaunch Cairns – Osaka Dec 09
jetStar from December 2009 is to resume Cairns – Osaka service, operating 4 times a week.
With the resumption, it’ll become the largest operator between Japan and Australia, offering 25 weekly services.
Also, 20% of the travellers flying on jetStar, are actually the first time overseas traveller for Japanese market.

Air Europa to end codesharing with Continental
Continental has issued a notice to the US DoT on 17MAR09 stating that it’ll cease its codeshare agreement with Air Europa.
From 01JUN09, Air Europa will no longer codeshare on Continental’s service between US and Spain, as well as within the US.
Continental, however, is keeping the following codeshare routes operated by Air Europa for the time being:

Barcelona – Palma Mallorca
Madrid – Palma Mallorca
Madrid – Las Palmas
Madrid – Tenerife
It will end the codeshare service on other routes

Continental gets approval for Guam – Fiji – Hawaii route
Continental on 13MAR09 issued an application to the US DoT for permission to service between Guam and Hawaii via Fiji.
It intends to operate service twice a week with 737-800 sometime during Summer season. On 17MAR09, the DoT has approved the application
