AEROFLOT shelves Vilnius launch
As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, AEROFLOT has shelved planned Moscow – Vilnius service.
Originally it planned to start the service from 15MAY09
Hainan Air applies Sudan service
Hainan Airlines today issued application with the CAAC seeking approval to operate 3 weekly Beijing – Dubai – Khartoum service.
It plans to operate Airbus A330 aircraft as early as August 09.
EGYPTAIR to launch Oslo and Copenhagen in Oct 09
As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, EGYPTAIR is to offer 1 weekly nonstop Cairo – Oslo – Copenhagen – Cairo service with Boeing 737-800 from 02OCT09

As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, EGYPTAIR is to increase its 4 weekly Cairo – Budapest service to Daily, starting 25OCT09.
Lufthansa West Africa 09/10 Winter update
As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, Lufthansa is carrying forward the changes made for West Africa operation in Summer 09 into Winter 09/10.
Frankfurt – Accra 5 weekly nonstop service, due to start 01JUL09, is maintained in 09/10 Winter. Service operates with A330. A340-300 to operate Day 6 service from 06FEB10.

ANA Final Boeing 747-400 International service ?
As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, it appears that ANA currently schedules FINAL Boeing 747-400 INTERNATIONAL service on 31AUG09.
Currently scheduled last Boeing 747 International service is Tokyo Narita – Frankfurt route on 31AUG09, NH209/210.
HOWEVER, the airline originally announced that it plans to operate Boeing 747-400 instead of 777-300ER on NH909/910 Tokyo Narita – Hong Kong route from 01SEP09, but this appears to be shelved as this flight is still showing 777 beyond 01SEP09. In addition, although the airline says Boeing 747-400 is to return service to Tokyo – Paris CDG service from 28MAR10, but that doesn’t seems to be the case either as ANA inventory is still showing 777. Whether there will be further changes to these is still up in the air.

Shandong Airlines today issued an application with the CAAC seeking approval to operate 2 weekly Jinan – Osaka service with Boeing 737.

As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, AeroMexico is to resume its 2 weekly Mexico City – Tijuana – Shanghai service from 29MAY09.

As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, AeroMexico’s 2 weekly MExico City – Tijuana – Tokyo service is to be operated by Boeing 767-200ER, replacing 777-200ER, from 06JUL09

Lufthansa new adjustment to Bahrain/Dammam from Sep 09
As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, Lufthansa is increasing its Frankfurt – Bahrain service to Daily from 22SEP09. This will be carried forward to 2009/10 Winter timetable as well
It will be operating 4 weekly nonstop flight as planned back in March, and 3 weekly service to Dammam will extend to Bahrain.

Lufthansa increase Dammam in Jul/Aug 09
As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, Lufthansa is increasing service to Dammam from 02JUL09 to 20AUG09. Service will become 6 weekly flights. The extra service is operated by PrivatAir Boeing 737-800 in All-Business Class configuration (C56), on a nonstop basis.

Korean Air shelves 77W to Bangkok
As per GDS timetable display on 13MAY09, Korean Air has shelved its plan to operate Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the Seoul Incheon – Bangkok route starting 03JUN09.
So far there are no other routes assigned with 777-300ER besides New York JFK for the Summer season.
Seoul – Bangkok service will maintain 2 Daily Boeing 777-300 operation for the rest of Summer.
