AeroMexico drops Shanghai
Contrary to the post on 13MAY09 regarding AeroMexico to resume Shanghai service, it appears that the airline is not doing so.
2 weekly Mexico City – Tijuana – Shanghai service will NOT be resuming from 29MAY09 (Amadeus timetable shows 19MAY09), and there is no timetable set on when it’ll resume this service. Shanghai is also removed from the pull down list on the airlines’ online reservation.
Jin Air eyes International service by Fall 2009
According to report, Korean Air’s low-cost unit Jin Air is to enter International service as early as October 2009.
Initially it would be operating service to China and Thailand

THAI eyes Japan expansion
According to report from Japan’s “Travelvision” on 21MAY09, THAI is eying expansions in Japan market.
The airline is planning to operate service to Tokyo Haneda in 2010, subject to government approval. It stress that once it inaugurates service to Haneda, it won’t reduce frequency to Narita.
The airline is also eying the following routes citing Japan is still a big market potentials:
Bangkok – Sendai
Bangkok – Sapporo
Bangkok – Okinawa
It hints that it is likely to operate service to Sapporo due to high popularity with its current charter flights
