airberlin starting 25OCT09 will be shifting its long-haul flight numbers and consolidates to AB7000 – 7499 series.

The new long-haul flight number range in general are:
AB7000 – 7099 North America
AB7100 – 7199 Thailand
AB7200 – 7299 Maldives
AB7300 – 7349 Punta Cana
AB7350 – 7399 Kenya, Namibia and South Africa
AB7400 – 7449 Cuba, Jamaica and Mexico

Flights are mainly operated by group member LTU’s Airbus A330-200.

Note that some old flight numbers were based on 2008/09 Winter season as they’re not operating in Summer, this results in some flight numbers are shown as “LT”

Sabre timetable display is currently shows SriLankan Airlines has placed its “UL” code on selected Malaysia Airlines service.

However, these codeshare flights are not loaded in the availability nor inventory display. Even Amadeus timetable display is not showing these flights.

Service from July 2009 operates with 5 weekly 333 and 2 weekly 346 after the tag-on Accra flight is dropped.
