Turkish to start Izmir – Athens

As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, Turkish Airlines is launching 4 weekly Izmir – Athens service from 29AUG09. (Athens departure is 28AUG09)

China Airlines Cargo to start Osaka – Los Angeles
Effective 27AUG09, China Airlines Cargo’s 3 of 7 weekly Taipei – Los Angeles service will make intermediate stop in Osaka. Inbound flight remains nonstop.

Afriqiyah A330 to Accra and Lagos
As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, Afriqiyah Airways is introducing Airbus A330 aircraft on the Tripoli – Accra and Tripoli – Lagosroute.
A330 service to Accra begins from 17AUG09, operates on Day x236. Airbus A320 operates along with A330 in September and October.
A330 service to Lagos begins from 18AUG09, operates on Day 236. Service varies in Sep/Oct, but operates on Day 234 only from 31OCt09
Afriqiyah puts Beijing back on new route list
As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, Afriqiyah Airways appears to go ahead with the launch of Beijing service.
It’ll operate 2 weekly service from 28OCT09. The flight will not extend to Guangzhou as it originally planned.

As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, Oman Air is replacing Airbus A330-200 with A330-300 on the Muscat – London Heathrow service from 01OCT09

As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, TAROM is to operate Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the Bucharest – Tel Aviv service 2 weekly in the 2009/10 Winter season.
737-800 operates as RO151/152, on Day 47
China Southern to resume Pakistan service
As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, China Southern is to resume Urumqi – Islamabad service from 23AUG09.
Service last operated on 22JUL09.
BIMAN suspends Delhi
As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, BIMAN Bangladesh Airlines appears to have also suspended its Dhaka – Delhi 3 weekly flight.
Service resumes from 03OCT09 with Boeing 737
BIMAN suspends Bangkok; Singapore changes
As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, BIMAN Bangladesh Airlines appears to have suspended its Dhaka – Bangkok service. Service to be resumed from 02OCT09 with 4 weekly 737.
Meanwhile, Dhaka – Singapore is currently operating with Airbus A310, but switching back to 737 from 01OCT09.
BIMAN resumes Hong Kong service
As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, BIMAN Bangladesh Airlines appears to have suspended Dhaka – Hong Kong route, but is to resume from 10AUG09.
Service to operate 2 weekly with DC10
China Airlines 747 back to Denpasar in W09/10
As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, China Airlines once again is to operate Boeing 747-400 aircraft on the Taipei – Denpasar route from 25OCT09.
KLM 777-300ER changes to East Africa
As per GDS timetable display on 06AUG09, KLM is to introduce Boeing 777-300ER service on the Amsterdam – Nairobi flight from 30NOV09.
777-300ER operates 4 times a week, Day x246 from AMS.
This replace existing 777-300ER service to Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro, which will be operated by 777-200ER only.
Air Asia X increase Melbourne flight
Air Asia X is increasing Kuala Lumpur – Melbourne service from 7 to 11 weekly, starting 01DEC09.
