AIRFRANCE brings forward Flt Nbr CHG to Amman / Nouakchott
As per GDS timetable display on 18AUG09, AIRFRANCE from 25OCT09 will be changing flight numbers to Amman and Nouakchott. These 2 destinations will join Bamako and other US destinations (Chicago, Houston and Miami) to see flight number changes this Winter 2009.

As per GDS timetable display on 18AUG09, the following is QATAR Airways’ latest aircraft changes for 2009/10 Winter network.

Doha – Bangkok QR610/611 Airbus A330-300 service, replaced by Boeing 777-300ER form 01OCT09.
Doha – Hong Kong Airbus A330-200 is kept for Winter season. Previously planned Airbus A340-600 service is shelved

From 22AUG09 to 30SEP09, China Southern’s 2 weekly Shenzhen – Taipei Taoyuan service is to be operated by Airbus A330-300 (F4C24Y263) instead of A320 (C8Y148)
Gulf Air increase Dhaka service this week
Gulf Air starting 20AUG09 increases Bahrain – Dhaka service from 10 to 12 weekly.
GF248/249 increases from 3 weekly (Day 256) to 5 weekly (Day x37).
From 25OCT09, GF248/249 operates with A330, and Daily GF250/251 operates with A340.
Cathay Pacific phase out 747 LAX flight by Dec 09
As per GDS timetable display on 18AUG09, Cathay Pacific is gradually phasing out Boeing 747-400 service on the Hong Kong – Los Angeles route in the Winter 2009/10 season.
777-300ER is increasing operation from 7 to 12 weekly from 25OCT09, then going double daily from 18DEC09. Planned Final Boeing 747-400 service on this route, is 17DEC09.

As per GDS timetable display on 18AUG09, the following is the latest update on DELTA’s planned Boeing 777 service on Domestic route for Winter 2009/10 season:

Previously, it plans to operate Boeing 777-200ER once a week. The latest update sees service operates with 1 weekly 777-200ER and 1 weekly -200LR.

As per GDS timetable display on 18AUG09, Korean Air is to keep Daily service on the Seoul – Toronto route for the 2009/10 Winter season.
Aegean Air Bucharest changes
As per GDS timetable display on 18AUG09, Aegean Airlines is to restore Athens – Bucharest route back to 2 Daily service by 11SEP09.
By Oct 2009, Airbus A320 is to be flying on this route Daily once again, replacing Avro RJ100.

Ryanair closing Manchester hub from Oct 09
Ryanair announced it’ll be closing Manchester hub, claiming the airport authority refuses to lower its charges.
The following routes operated by Ryanair, will be cancelled starting 01OCT09:
Barcelona (Girona), Bremen, Brussels (Charleroi), Cagliari, Dusseldorf (Weeze), Frankfurt (Hahn), Marseille, Milan (Bergamo) and Shannon
These service will be transferred to other UK regional airports.
KLM new codesharing on COPA and DELTA
