AEROFLOT 1-time NONSTOP to Buenos Aires
As per GDS timetable display on 30SEP09, AEROFLOT is to operate 1-time service on the Moscow Sheremetyevo – Buenos Aires NONSTOP service in October. Service from Moscow operates on 03OCT09 and return from Buenos Aires on 10OCT09.
The flying time is 19hrs 15 mins southbound and 18hrs 35mins northbound. This would be the longest IL96 nonstop service (assuming that’s the case) before the airline retires the fleet on 24OCT09.

Air Astana to start Malaysia service
Air Astana starting 31OCT09 is launching 1 weekly Almaty – Kuala Lumpur service, on board Boeing 767. Service operates on Saturdays.

ANA Mohican/Mohwak Livery returns Dec 2009
ANA today announced the plan to mark the return of “Mohican” (Mohawk) livery jet, to be applied on a Boeing 767.
The Mohican livery was first introduced 01MAY69 when the airline receives its first Boeing 737. The livery was used for 20 years, witnessed the boom of Japan’s Economy as well as several major events in Japan.
The 767 with retro livery is to be introduced from December 2009 and operates until 2013. Routes and schedules as follows:

JAL on 28SEP09 announced additional changes to its domestic network out of Tokyo Narita starting 01NOV09.

As per GDS timetable display on 25SEP09, Virgin Atlantic is resuming Summer seasonal London Heathrow – Chicago service from 27MAY10.
Air Dominicana sets for Oct 2009 launch
Air Dominicana, which supposed to begin operation on 01AUG09, is now targeting 17OCT09 launch.
Initially it’ll operate 3 weekly Santo Domingo – New York JFK from 17OCT09 (Day 136) and Santo Domingo – Miami from 18OCT09 (Day 257).
Service increases to Daily on each route from 15NOV09.
Arkefly service change to Montego Bay in W09/10
