Turkish Airlines starting 28MAR10 will under-go massive flight number changes. The flight number change also covers ALL Domestic service, as well as International service out of Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen and Antalya.

VIETNAM AIR INCREASE BANGKOK SERVICE
Vietnam Airlines starting 01DEC09 is increasing Ho Chi Minh – Bangkok service from 1 to 2 Daily. All flights operates with Airbus A321. With the new service, there will be a minor schedule change for existing service.

AnadoluJet S10 Flight Number Changes
Turkish Airlines’ low-cost subsidiary AnadoluJet from 28MAR10 will be changing its flight numbers. The new flight number range spans from TK7000 to 7399, replacing current TK900 – 999 series.

EMIRATES EXTENDS PESHAWAR SUSPENSION BY 6 WKS
Due to on going security issue-related concerns at Peshawar, Emirates is extending its suspension on Dubai – Peshawar route until 02DEC09. The flight was supposed to be resumed from 27OCT09, but is now further postponed by another 6 weeks.
The 2 weekly flights will be operating into Islamabad instead.

JAL to cut 2nd Daily tokyo – London
Although not officially announced, as per 23OCT09 GDS inventory and availability display, JAL is currently showing only Business Class bookable on its 2nd Daily Tokyo Narita – London Heathrow service from 07DEC09, JL403/404 flight.

Filipino carrier Zest Air plans to launch Clark – Hong Kong service from 24OCT09. This is the 3rd time the airline postponed the service.

CONTINENTAL / COPA LEAVES SKYTEAM 24OCT09
Continental and COPA Airlines on 24OCT09 (Saturday) will terminate its participation in Skyteam Alliance. Continental from 27OCT09 will join Star Alliance while COPA remains independent for the time being.
Continental’s remaining codeshare agreement will come to an end on 24OCT09. Co-operation with Star Alliance, in particular codeshare agreement, will go into effect on 27OCT09. Reservations and ticketing should be available by that date.
COPA, however, will retain its current codeshare agreement with Skyteam member KLM. On a side note, posts under Continental starting 27OCT09, will no longer be categorized under Skyteam, but will be under Star Alliance in this blog.
OMAN AIR AXE COLOMBO; MALE CHANGES
Oman Air has shelved the plan to launch service to Colombo, which was supposed to launch on 01OCT09. However, planned service to Male will go ahead, with Airbus A330-300 operating 4 times a week. The A330-300 features BRAND NEW cabin service, including FIRST Class.
