Continental begins bmi codeshare 07NOV09
Continental starting 07NOV09 is placing its “CO” code on selected bmi service. Routes and flight number pairs as follows:
UNITED / CONTINENTAL Codeshare kicks off 05NOV09
UNITED and Continental’s codeshare deal will begin from 05NOV09. Codeshare flight number range is CO6000 – 8199.
Continental is placing its “CO” code on all UNITED’s European service (excludes Moscow) and most of UNITED’s Domestic MAINLINE routes. Due to the massive codeshare flight number pairs and constant changes for Domestic flight, codeshare list is omitted.

Lufthansa launches Continental codesharing
As of 2030PDT 26OCT09, Lufthansa has loaded codeshare service operated by Continental Airlines into the GDS. Codeshare service begins from 31OCT09. Due to the time zone difference, Continental operated by Lufthansa is not loaded in the GDS as this post goes to press.

AVIANCA A330 to Miami from Jan 10
Per GDS timetable display on 26OCT09, AVIANCA is introducing Airbus A330 service on 1 of 2 Daily Bogota – Miami flight, starting 05JAN10. The A330 is to operate AV006/007 service.
Afriqiyah Airways launching Dhaka service
Per GDS timetable and inventory display, Afriqiyah Airways is launching 2 weekly Tripoli – Dhaka turn around service starting this Thursday, 29OCT09. Service operates 2 weekly with A330.

UNI Air postpone Chongqing & Wuhan service
Per EVA Air’s inventory display in the GDS as well as the airlines’ booking system on the website on 26OCT09, subsidiary UNI Air’s planned Taipei Taoyuan – Chongqing and Taipei Taoyuan – Wuhan service from late-December 2009, appears to be postponed indefinitely.
Ethiopian 767 to Heathrow 23NOV09
Per GDS timetable and availability display on 26OCT09, Ethiopian Airlines is to operate Boeing 767 aircraft instead of 757 on Addis Ababa – Rome – London Heathrow – Addis Ababa service on 23NOV09
ETIHAD A330 to Paris in S10
As per 26OCT09 GDS timetable display, ETIHAD’s Abu Dhabi – Paris CDG service from 28MAR10 is now showing Airbus A330-200 operating. This route in general operates with A330/340.
This makes ETIHAD’s entire European service (excluding Minsk and Moscow) A330 station for the time being. (London Heathrow also displaying A330-200 service)
ASIANA Los Angeles aircraft change in Nov 09
As per 26OCT09 GDS timetable display, ASIANA is operating 2-class Boeing 777 aircraft instead of Boeing 747 on OZ202/201 Seoul – Los Angeles service on following dates in November 2009:

AIRFRANCE A340 to Dubai
As per 26OCT09 GDS timetable display, AIRFRANCE is deploying Airbus A340-300 on the Paris CDG – Dubai service once a week, from 21JAN10.
A340-300 operates on Day 4 of AF530/529 service (DXB departs the following day)
ETIHAD boosts capacity to Lahore
Per GDS timetable display on 26OCT09, ETIHAD is boosting capacity on Abu Dhabi – Lahore route starting 02NOV09, with Airbus A340-500/-600 operating Daily. Previously the airline operates with a mix of A320/330.

Turkish changes to London Stansted service
With Turkish Airlines is starting Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen – London Stansted service, it’ll replace current Istanbul Ataturk – London Stansted from 09NOV09.
Transaero to Vietnam
Transaero once again is operating Moscow Domodedovo – Ho Chi Minh service in Winter 2009/10 season. Service operates from Moscow from 28OCT09, every 11 days. (Ho Chi Minh departs the following day)

SIA extends 747 operation to Sydney in W09
Per 26OCT09 GDS timetable display, Singapore Airlines is extending Boeing 747-400 service to Sydney in Northern Winter 2009/10 season. Previously, 747 and 772 was planned to replace 777-300 till 28NOV09 only.

Pet Airways to launch Ft. Lauderdale service
Pet Airways from 04DEC09 is adding Ft Lauderdale Executive Airport as its 5th destination. Service operates with Beechcraft 1900C from Farmingdale Republic Airport, located on Long Island, New York.
The airline, which mainly caters to Pets only, currently operates in the Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Washington/Baltimore and New York market.
EGYPTAIR 3rd weekly to Malta in S10
EGYPTAIR starting 28MAR10 is adding 3rd weekly Cairo – Malta service. The new frequency operates on Day 2.
UNITED 747 Chicago – Hawaii in Dec 09
Per GDS timetable display on 26OCT09, UNITED is to operate Boeing 747-400 instead of 777-200 on the Chicago – Honolulu service, from 17DEC09 to 04JAN10.
