China Southern Airlines starting 10JAN10 is re-scheduling its Guangzhou – Melbourne service. The change sees inbound service from Melbourne switching from daytime to overnight flight.

Saudi Arabian 77L to US from Jan 2010
Saudi Arabian’s NEW 2-class Boeing 777-200ER configuration, which is dubbed as the 77L (not the 777-200LR), is to be introduced starting January 2010. The 77L was briefly operated into New York in Oct 2009 per previous GDS timetable display.
As of 29OCT09, 77L is being introduced on service to Washington DC from 01JAN10, and New York JFK from 01MAR10.
On a side note, the 77L is operating on all Saudia service to London Heathrow, and selected service to Dubai
Saudi Arabian A330 to Kano
As per 29OCT09 GDS timetable display, Saudi Arabian Airlines is to operate Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the 2 weekly Jeddah – Kano service, starting 03JAN10. This replace current Boeing 747 service.
Saudi Arabian A320 Routes Update
As per 29OCT09 GDS timetable display, Saudi Arabian Airlines has further updated its planned Airbus A320 operation.
The Airbus A320, configured in First and Economy Class, is being designated to operate European and some Middle-East service starting 01JAN10.
In particular on service to all European destinations (Frankfurt, Geneva, Madrid, Milan, Paris CDG, Rome), Airbus A320 is to replace ALL Boeing 777-200 service (except London Heathrow with NEW 2-class 777-200ER; 77L) The introduction of Airbus A320 to Europe also sees the elimination of all intra-european sector (excluding service to Madrid), which some flights are currently operating as 1 or 2-stops before reaching their final destinations.
Service in the Middle-East sees A320 operating on selected flights to Abu Dhabi, Amman, Beirut and Dubai.

SQ116/117 from 01DEC09 operates with Airbus A330-300 on Day x567, while 777-200 operates on Day 5.
SIA Nagoya Dec 09 Aircraft change
As per Singapore Airlines’ inventory display on 29OCT09, it is switching operating aircraft on Singapore – Nagoya route on selected dates in December 2009.
On 01DEC09 and 04DEC09, service is operated by Boeing 777-200 instead of Airbus A330-300
South African to start Air NZ codeshare
South African Airways from 01NOV09 is displaying its “SA” code on Air New Zealand’s selected Trans-Tasman service as well as Domestic NZ flights. Codeshare routes and flight numbers as follows. Note some flights may not operate during certain periods.
SilkAir 4th weekly to Thiruvananthapuram
SilkAir from 07DEC09 to 25JAN10 is operating 4th weekly Singapore – Thiruvananthapuram service. The new frequency departs SIN on Day 1.
