SIA 2nd Daily A330 to Kuala Lumpur
As per GDS timetable display on 29OCT09, Singapore Airlines is introducing 2nd Daily Singapore – Kuala Lumpur Airbus A330-300 service from 01DEC09.
SQ116/117 from 01DEC09 operates with Airbus A330-300 on Day x567, while 777-200 operates on Day 5.
SIA Nagoya Dec 09 Aircraft change
As per Singapore Airlines’ inventory display on 29OCT09, it is switching operating aircraft on Singapore – Nagoya route on selected dates in December 2009.
On 01DEC09 and 04DEC09, service is operated by Boeing 777-200 instead of Airbus A330-300
South African to start Air NZ codeshare
South African Airways from 01NOV09 is displaying its “SA” code on Air New Zealand’s selected Trans-Tasman service as well as Domestic NZ flights. Codeshare routes and flight numbers as follows. Note some flights may not operate during certain periods.
SilkAir 4th weekly to Thiruvananthapuram
SilkAir from 07DEC09 to 25JAN10 is operating 4th weekly Singapore – Thiruvananthapuram service. The new frequency departs SIN on Day 1.

Continental and ASIANA on 28OCT09 issued a codeshare application to the US Department of Transportation. The pair seeks to start codesharing as early as 01DEC09.

AIRFRANCE A380 Charity Flight Schedule
AIRFRANCE has loaded its Airbus A380 Inaugural charity flight schedule. The A380 is to operate Paris CDG – New York JFK route on 20NOV09, which all seats on this special flight are sold through auctioning.

China Southern increase Harbin – Taipei service
China Southern from 21NOV09 is increasing Harbin – Taipei Taoyuan service from 1 to 2 weekly. Service operates on Day 26
US Airways Network restructure
US Airways on Wednesday (28OCT09) announced its realigned operation, which sees following changes:
- Las Vegas sees further downsizing from Feb 2010, dropping from 64 Daily flights to 36.
- Cancellation of Wichita and Colorado Springs service
- Embraer E190 aircraft redeployed on US Airways Shuttle service – Boston – Philadelphia and Boston – New York La Guardia
- Suspension of 5 International destinations: Birmingham UK, London Gatwick, Milan Malpensa, Shannon and Stockholm
- Conversion of 2 International seasonal service to year-round: Brussels and Zurich by late-2010
- Returning its route authority on the Philadelphia – Beijing
- Upon completion on slot exchange with DELTA at Washington Reagan, it’ll launch 8 new routes: Birmingham AL, Islip NY, Ithaca NY, Little Rock AR, Myrtle Beach SC, Pensacola FL, Savannah GA and Tallahassee FL
Korean Air Cargo launch Hanoi
Korean Air Cargo this week launched 2 weekly service to Hanoi. The routing is Seoul – Singapore – Hanoi – Seoul.

bmi / Air Canada codeshare update
Contrary to the post on 25AUG09, bmi didn’t remove its codeshare service operated by Air Canada. However, service between Canada and London Heathrow, is only bookable when a bmi connection flight is included.
Jin Air postpone Bangkok launch
Jin Air, Korean Air’s low-cost carrier, has postponed its Seoul Incheon – Bangkok service till 21DEC09. The flight was supposed to launch this week. On its twitter status, the airline quotes due to the “(H1N1) Flu”
SWISS codeshare with Edelweiss to Calgary/Vancouver
SWISS announced it’ll be codesharing with subsidiary Edelweiss in Summer 2010 for service on Zurich – Calgary – Vancouver – Zurich.
Service operates on Day 1 from Zurich from 31MAY10 to 14SEP10, with A330-200 (C32Y275)
China Airlines extra Delhi flight Dec/Jan

Air NZ launch South African codeshare
Air New Zealand from 01NOV09 will begin placing its “NZ” code on South African Airways’ Perth – Johannesburg and Domestic South African service. Reservation is available. SAA operated by NZ service will be loaded in the GDS later this week.
