ANA Group airlines 2010/11 internal merger

ANA Group on Friday (30OCT09) announced further restructuring. According to Japan’s travelpress (Travelvision), the latest restructure plan involved in merging ANA Groups’ 7 airlines into 3.

Planned Merger in 2010:
Air Japan, ANA & JP Express
Air Next*, Air Nippon Network*, Air Central*

In 2011, ANA to merge with Air Nippon

*currently controlled under Air Nippon

Once the merger completes, Air Japan’s fleet to be mainly Boeing 767. The newly merged Air Next, Air Nippon Network and Air Central, to operate small-size aircraft and local service. ANA and Air Nippon mainly operating medium to large-capacity aircraft.
