Further updates to posts from yesterday regarding Yemenia European service.
Yemenia’s European service, appeared to be resumed from the week of 16DEC09, is currently showing available to book on some reservation systems, EXCEPT Sabre.
bmi Major route restructure
bmi today announced it’ll be further suspending following routes during 2010. The latest suspension sees cancellation service to Aleppo, Brussels, Kiev, Tel Aviv and Amsterdam. In addition, 2 of 3 Airbus A330 currently on lease will not be renewed. The long-haul flight will be mainly operated by Airbus A321 by then.
Air Asia to launch Kota Kinabalu – Taipei
Air Asia announced from 15JAN10 it’ll launch Kota Kinabalu – Taipei service. This will be Air Asia Group’s 3rd route to Taipei in less than 9 months.

JAL charter on Ibaraki – Honolulu
JAL on 11MAR10 in conjunction with Japan travel Bureau (JTB) will operate 1-time only charter on the Ibaraki – Honolulu service, coinciding with the airport’s opening on the same day.
A 220-seater Boeing 767-300ER is scheduled to operate this service, which sees departure from Ibaraki on 11MAR10 and return from Honolulu on 15MAR10.
Batavia Air launch Singapore service
Indonesian carrier Batavia Air today (25NOV09) launches Semarang – Singapore and Jakarta – Singapore service. Batavia Air is the 8th new carrier launching service to Singapore in 2009, which is also the 12th carrier to enter Jakarta – Singapore route.
Rossiya 767 to Tashkent in Dec 09
Rossiya Airlines on 07DEC09 and 28DEC09 (St. Petersburg departure) is to operate Boeing 767-300ER aircraft on the St. Petersburg – Tashkent route, instead of Airbus A319
Air China 777 to Bangkok
Air China starting 01JAN10 is increasing capacity on the Beijing – Bangkok service. CA979/980, Daily 757 service, is to be swapped to larger capacity Boeing 777-200.
CA959/960 continues to operate with 737-800.
Air China launch Manila from Mar 2010
As per 25NOV09 GDS timetable display, Air China is launching 3 weekly Beijing – Manila service with Boeing 737-800 from 27FEB10.

Mandarin Airlines reduce Kaohsiung – Seoul
Mandarin Airlines from 29NOV09 is to reduce Kaohsiung – Seoul Incheon service from Daily to 5 weekly. Kaohsiung departure operates on Day x47.
China Airlines continues Surabaya reduction
China Airlines is continuing to reduce Taipei – Singapore – Surabaya service to 5 weekly from 09JAN10. Service departs Taipei on Day x15 and Surabaya Day x26. Note the Taipei – Singapore sector remains Daily
AEROFLOT postpone A330 to NY by 1 week
As per 25NOV09 GDS timetable display, AEROFLOT has postponed planned Airbus A330-200 service on the Moscow – New York JFK service by at least 1 week.
Planned A330 service (Replacing Boeing 767) is now scheduled from 02DEC09, instead of 23NOV09.

Hawaiian Airlines from 17JUN10 to 05SEP09 is launching seasonal Kahului – Oakland service with Boeing 767.

Ryanair launch 37th base at Oslo Rygge from Mar 2010
Ryanair starting March 2010 will base 3 additional aircraft at Oslo Rygge airport, which brings 16 new routes, on top of current 6 routes it operates. The new routes will increase the LCC’s traffic at Oslo Rygge to 1.7 million passengers per year. The airport will be the airlines’ 37th base.

easyJet 10 new routes in 2010
easyJet is starting additional 10 new routes in 2010, mainly focusing on its Paris CDG base, as well as Milan Malpensa. There will also be new route out of London Stansted, Manchester and Liverpool. The latest addition also sees new service to Helsinki.
