SWISS ends Saudi Arabia flight
SWISS from 01FEB10 will cancel 4 weekly Zurich – Riyadh – Jeddah service, marking an end of its Saudi Arabia service. However, codeshare service operated by Lufthansa will be continued.
DELTA/Virgin Blue Group launch codesharing
DELTA and Virgin Blue Group starting 18JAN10 will begin codesharing. V Australia’s “VA” code appears on selected DELTA domestic US service from 18JAN10, and DELTA’s “DL” code on Virgin Blue selected service from 15FEB10.

AIRFRANCE extra NY service 15DEC09/16DEC09
AIRFRANCE today (15DEC09) is to operate extra Paris CDG – New York JFK service. There are 2 flights operating from JFK on 16DEC09. It is unknown if this is related to the airlines’ cancellation of Airbus A380 service on 14DEC09 due to technical issues.

ANA on 14JAN10 and 16JAN10 is to operate Boeing 767-300 aircraft instead of Airbus A320 on Tokyo Narita – Qingdao route
AIRFRANCE cancel Santo Domingo intra-Caribbean service
AIRFRANCE from 26JAN10 to 23MAR10 cancels 2 weekly intra-Caribbean service to/from Santo Domingo.
It currently operates 2 weekly AF3966 Pointe-a-Pitre – Santo Domingo and AF3967 Santo Domingo – Fort de France – Pointe-a-Pitre with Airbus A320.
China Southern to launch Urumqi – Dubai – Jeddah
China Southern from 29MAR10 will begin 2 weekly Urumqi – Dubai – Jeddah service on board Boeing 737-700. This is the airlines’ relaunch service to Jeddah, and the new service to Dubai.

SIA launch Munich; Manchester re-route
Singapore Airlines starting 28MAR10 launches 5 weekly Singapore – Munich – Manchester 777-300ER service, replaces existing 3 weekly 777-200ER nonstop to Manchester. It appears to have 5th freedom traffic rights on MUC – MAN sector.
The flight is already bookable as per airlines’ inventory system as of 15DEC09, as well as Sabre timetable display. Also, with the launch of Singapore – Munich sector, codeshare service operated by Lufthansa reduced to 2 weekly.
