Japan Press: JAL choose DELTA and to leave oneWorld
According to report from Yomiuri Shimbun on 04JAN10, JAL appears to have chosen DELTA as its strategic partner for its massive restructure.
The report says followed by the decision of choosing DELTA, JAL will be leaving oneWorld and joining Skyteam. However, JAL has denied the report. American Airlines also said it is still in negotiation with JAL.

Austrian 2010 Summer Europe Changes – Update 2
The following is Austrian’s 2010 Summer European Operation Update as of 04JAN10, note several changes has occurred since the first post back in November 2009. Those with significant changes are being noted below.
The phase out of CRJ200 fleet is now pushed back towards the end of April 2010.
Korean Air increase Siem Reap Jan/Feb 10
Korean Air from 04JAN10 to 25FEB10 increases Seoul Incheon – Siem Reap service from 7 to 9 weekly.

As per 04JAN10 GDS timetable display, Korean Air is planning to operate Airbus A330-200 aircraft instead of Boeing 747-400COMBI on its 3 weekly Seoul – Tel Aviv route, from 02OCT10 to 22OCT10 only.
Ethiopian plans Daily Washington in S10
As per 04JAN10 GDS timetable display, Ethiopian Airlines is planning to operate Daily service to Washington.
The airline planned to operate Daily service in Summer 2009 but ended up operating 5 weekly. Changes as follows:

Starting 28MAR10, UNITED is to operate Boeing 747-400 aircraft instead of 777 on the San Francisco – Seoul service.
ASIANA reduce Seoul – Singapore in Jan 10
ASIANA from 10JAN10 to 03FEB10 is reducing Seoul Incheon – Singapore service from 11 to 9 weekly, as per 31DEC09 GDS timetable display.
The reduction of 2 weekly service transferred to Busan – Singapore route. Overall ASIANA service will remain at 11, as opposed to 13.
ASIANA/Air Astana to launch codesharing
ASIANA and Air Astana from 18JAN10 will begin codesharing on the Seoul Incheon – Almaty service. Codeshare flight numbers as follows:
Lufthansa A330 on Dusseldorf Long-Haul
Lufthansa starting 28MAR10 is to operate Airbus A330-300 aircraft on all long-haul service out of Dusseldorf, replacing A340-300.

ETIHAD last week began delivery of its Airbus A330-300 aircraft. The A330-300, is configured in F12J40Y151.

Spanair starting 07JAN10 launches codeshare service with brussels airlines. Its “JK” code will appear on all brussels service between Belgium and Spain.

DELTA begins nwa Amsterdam codeshare
