Transaero launch Hong Kong from Aug 10
Transaero from 30JUL10 launches 1 weekly Moscow Domodedovo – Hong Kong Boeing 777-200ER service. It is the overall 4th carrier and the 3rd new carrier to operate this route in Summer 2010 season.
With Transaero’s service entry, overall service on Moscow – Hong Kong route increases from 4 weekly to 13 weekly (AEROFLOT 5, Hong Kong Airlines 4, Cathay Pacific 3, Transaero 1).

AIRFRANCE keeps Airbus A340 to Guangzhou in S10
As per 26MAR10 GDS timetable display, AIRFRANCE’s planned Boeing 777-200ER service on Paris CDG – Guangzhou has been shelved. Original plan was 777 replacing Airbus A340 from June 2010, but this will no longer in effect.
From 27JUL10, PReMIUM VOYAGeR service will be introduced on A340 aircraft on this route.
TAM 767 to Caracas

As per 26MAR10 GDS inventory display, Hong Kong Airlines has switched the operating aircraft on Hong Kong – Moscow Sheremetyevo service back to Airbus A330-200. The airline last week (18MAR10) changed the service to Boeing 737-800.

JAL expands British Airways codesharing
JAL starting 28MAR10 will expand its codeshare agreement with British Airways. Its “JL” code is appearing on 9 new routes operated by British Airways, and further 4 more from 28APR10.
With the expansion, JAL is offering 54 routes to 36 cities across Europe, including 23 operated by British Airways as codesharing. In addition, the expanded codeshare agreement sees Basel, Brussels, Geneva and Athens added to JAL network.

THAI 50th Anniversary Nostalgic Flight 01MAY10
THAI on 01MAY10 is operating “Nostalgic Flight” on Bangkok – Hong Kong service, as the Star Alliance carrier celebrates its 50th anniversary.
