Correction to Japan Gov’t Proposal on JAL Route Cuts
Regarding the post on Japanese Government’s proposal on JAL Route Cuts posted earlier today (Monday, 12APR10), there were minor errors on the proposed suspension list.
In particular, JAL did not propose to cut Tokyo Narita – New York JFK and Tokyo Narita – Paris CDG route. These has been corrected in original post.
Japan Press: Gov’t Proposal on JAL Route Cuts in Feb 10
A Japanese magazine, Diamond weekly, revealed the proposal of Japanese Government (by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism/MLIT) on JAL’s restructuring. The report was issued on 12APR10, titled 国交省“国際線撤退”案に楯突いた, ＪＡＬ「更生計画」骨子の全容

American Airlines cancel St. Louis – Boston from Jul 10
From 02JUL10, American Airlines is canceling 2 Daily St. Louis – Boston service, which is currently operated by American Eagle’s Embraer ERJ140/145.
Aerosvit/Wind Rose Aviation codesharing
Aerosvit’s “VV” code is now appearing on Wind Rose Aviation’s 2 weekly Kiev – Tashkent service. Wind Rose Aviation operates this route twice a week with Embraer E195 in Summer 2010 season. It’s “VV” code also appears on the latter’s service to Kaliningrad in Russia and Kutaisi in Georgia.
