Hainan Airlines from 27NOV10 is launching 3 weekly Beijing – Toronto service on board Airbus A340-600 aircraft. Toronto is the carrier’s 2nd destination in North America and 1st in Canada.

China Eastern launch Sri Lanka and resume Maldives service
China Eastern today (31AUG10) launches 3 weekly Kunming – Colombo – Male service. Today’s inaugural flight is operated by Airbus A330 to Colombo only, but will be operated by Boeing 737 or 767 thereafter.
This is China Eastern’s first service launch to Sri Lanka, and service resumption to Maldives, where it used to operate 2 weekly Shanghai – Male – Johannesburg in 2008.

Oman Air delays Milan launch till Dec 2010
As per 31AUG10 GDS timetable display, Oman Air is postponing service launch to Milan Malpensa by 4 weeks. The new launch date is now scheduled from 03DEC10, instead of 01NOV10.
The 4 weekly service operates Muscat – Munich – Milan Malpensa routing, previously posted on this blog on 07JUL10.
Lufthansa 747 to Lagos in Oct 2010
As per 31AUG10 GDS timetable display, Lufthansa from 01OCT10 to 30OCT10 is to operate Boeing 747-400 aircraft on Daily Frankfurt – Lagos service, replacing Airbus A340-300.

As per 31AUG10 GDS timetable display, Air China is keeping Airbus A319 service on its 2 weekly Shanghai Pu Dong – Chengdu – Bangalore service in Winter 2010 season.
The Star Alliance carrier originally planned to operate Boeing 757 service on this route.
Air Macau increase Shanghai Pu Dong service in Sep 2010
Air Macau from 07SEP10 is gradually increasing Macau – Shanghai Pu Dong service. The increase mainly focuses on NX116/115 flight.
From 07SEP10, overall service increase from 23 to 24 weekly, 25th weekly added from 28SEP10. Air China’s “CA” code appears on these flights.
