Cathay Pacific / WestJet launch Domestic Canada codeshare service 20OCT10
Cathay Pacific and WestJet starting 20OCT10 begins codeshare operation. This is the first major codeshare deal for WestJet being implemented.
The codeshare deal gives Cathay Pacific access to Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal and Ottawa. As well as connection between Vancouver and Toronto.

Kenya Airways reverse planned capacity increase to Luanda in W10
As per 30SEP10 GDS timetable display, Kenya Airways has further adjusted planned capacity offering on its 2 weekly Nairobi – Luanda route in Winter 2010 season.
Planned 1 weekly 737 and 1 weekly 767 service is canceled, and the Skyteam carrier continues to operate this route with Boeing 737-300 aircraft. -700/-800 model may be substituted on selected dates
EVA Air A330 on Taipei Sung Shan – Shanghai Hongqiao in W10
From 31OCT10, EVA Air’s 6 weekly Taipei Sung Shan – Shanghai Hongqiao service is to be operated by Airbus A330-200, replacing existing MD90.

As per 30SEP10 GDS timetable display, EGYPTAIR has canceled its plan to operate Airbus A330-200 aircraft on 4 weekly Cairo – Bangkok – Guangzhou service during selected periods in Winter 2010 season.
Boeing 777-200ER to continue operate this route.
The Star carrier in the past 4 weeks has been shifting operating aircraft back-and-forth between A330 and 777 on this route.
Hainan Airlines launch 2 weekly Beijing – Cairo service from Nov 2010
Hainan Airlines from 17NOV10 is launching 2 weekly Beijing – Cairo service on board Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The airline eventually plans to extend service to Algiers in the near future.
