Jet Airways to boost capacity on Delhi – Singapore from mid-Sep 2011

India’s Jet Airways from 14SEP11 to 01MAR12 is increasing capacity on Delhi – Singapore Daily service, where Airbus A330-200 aircraft is operating, replacing Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

It currently operates 1 Daily each on Mumbai – Singapore with A330-200 and Chennai – Singapore with Boeing 737-800

UNITED/Continental Asia-Pacific Cross-Fleeting Changes from W11: Update 2

As per 30APR11 schedule update, UNITED continues to adjust planned cross-fleeting operation for Asia-Pacific, which involves in Hong Kong operation.

Among the cross-fleeting adjustment, the Star Alliance member is resuming Tokyo Narita – Hong Kong service. All cross-fleeting plan will be in effect from 29OCT11.

China Airlines A330 to Okinawa in May 2011

As per 29APR11 GDS timetable display, China Airlines is to operate Airbus A330-300 aircraft on selected Taipei Taoyuan – Okinawa service during the month of May 2011.

A330-300 to operate on CI122/123 service from 08MAY11 to 04JUN11, when this flight reduces to 2-3 weekly instead of Daily 737-800 service.

New Caribbean low-fare carrier REDjet to launch service from May 2011

Caribbean’s first low-fare carrier, REDjet, is to launch operation on 08MAY11. The Barbados-based carrier will offer service with 2 149-seater MD82 aircraft in all-Economy Class configuration.

From Barbados, the airline is offering 4 weekly to Georgetown, 3 weekly to Kingston and Daily to Port of Spain. It will also operate 4 weekly Port of Spain – Kingston service.

ASIANA AIRLINES to resume Seoul Incheon – Tokyo Haneda service from Jun 2011

ASIANA AIRLINES has further postponed planned Seoul Incheon – Tokyo Haneda service resumption date into June 2011.

The new resumption date is scheduled from 06JUN11. The Star Alliance member will be operating 7 weekly flights, an increase from 2 weekly. Prior to March Earthquake, service increase was planned starting late-Apr 2011. On 2 weekly Busan – Tokyo Haneda, service appears to be canceled indefinitely.

QATAR Airways gains access to Okinawa via ANA Codesharing

QATAR Airways’ “QR” code is now appearing on ANA’s Osaka Kansai – Okinawa route, becoming the 5th destination in Japan served by QATAR (via codesharing). QATAR currently serves Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai on its own aircraft, and codeshares with ANA to Sapporo, Tokyo Haneda and Fukuoka.
