DELTA/Virgin Australia expands codeshare service
DELTA and Virgin Blue Group (to be relaunched as Virgin Australia from 04MAY11) on 01MAY11 has expanded codeshare operation, which DELTA’s “DL” code will appear on Virgin Australia’s Domestic service via Sydney to Adelaide, Canberra and Perth, as well as expanded codeshare service to Brisbane and Melbourne. On selected Pacific Blue’s Trans-Tasman flight to Auckland and Christchurch, flight will also carry “DL” code.
In return, V Australia’s “VA” code is appearing on DELTA’s service via Los Angeles to Atlanta, Detroit, Las Vegas and San Francisco. The airline already codeshares on DELTA to Cincinnati, New York JFK, Orlando and Salt Lake City.
