Update: Singapore Airlines introducing 409-seater A380 Configuration with High-Density Business Class

Singapore Airlines starting June 2011 is introducing 2nd configuration type for its Airbus A380 aircraft, which sees Business Class occupies entire upper deck. The new configuration, is coded “A8E” internally, seats 409, a reduction from current 471. The Star Alliance member will also become the 2nd carrier to see upper deck A380 exclusively used for Business Class, after Korean Air

Air Canada cancels Montreal – Mexico City from Jul 2011
As per 20MAY11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Air Canada from 01JUL11 is canceling Daily Montreal – Mexico City service, currently operated by Airbus A319 aircraft. Last flight departing Montreal on 30JUN11, Mexico City on 01JUL11.

airberlin W11 Hanover and Stuttgart Service Increases to the Canaries
airberlin in Winter 2011 is adding 2nd weekly flight on Hanover – Fuerteventura, Hanover – Las Palmas, Stuttgart – Las Palmas and Stuttgart – Tenerife del Sur route (Comparison based on Winter 2010 operation).
The carrier is also introducing 1 weekly Stuttgart – Lanzarote and 2 weekly Stuttgart – Fuereteventura route.

UT Air to launch Moscow Vnukovo – Naryan-Mar from June 2011
Russian carrier UT Air from 01JUN11 launches Moscow Vnukovo – Naryan-Mar service. CRJ200 aircraft will be operating Daily to the Arctic Russian town.
Currently, only Nordavia operates service between Moscow Sheremetyevo – Naryan-Mar.

Blue Air to launch Cluj – Dublin/Cluj – Rome service from Jul 2011
Romania’s Blue Air starting 01JUL11 is offering new routes out of Cluj, where it’ll operate 2 weekly Cluj – Dublin and 3 weekly Cluj – Rome service with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Service originates from Bucharest Baneasa but it does not have local traffic rights on domestic sector

Hawaiian Airlines moves forward A330 debut on Tokyo Haneda route by 1 week
As per 20MAY11 GDS timetable display, it appears that Hawaiian Airlines is moving forward planned A330-200 inauguration for Honolulu – Tokyo Haneda service by several days.
The carrier now plans to operate A330 aircraft on this route starting 07JUL11 (HND departure 08JUL11), instead of 12JUL11, replaces Boeing 767-300ER. A week later it’ll begin service to Osaka.
