As per 30JUN11 GDS timetable display, Singapore Airlines is extending service reduction on Singapore – Los Angeles NONSTOP service on board Airbus A340-500 aircraft.
The Star Alliance member is extending service cut from Daily to 5 weekly until the end of Summer schedule on 29OCT11, except August 2011. Previously the carrier planned to operate Daily service from 26JUL11.

ANA has announced it’s Boeing 787 Service Ready Operational Validation (SROV) will add Nagoya stop with the Dreamliner begins SROV flights in Japan next week.

China Airlines Jul/Aug 2011 Capacity shift on Tokyo Narita & Bangkok service
China Airlines continues its capacity reduction on Taipei Taoyuan – Tokyo Narita service. From 10JUL11 to 31AUG11, CI100/101 will be operated by Boeing 737-800 instead of Airbus A340-300. A340-300 operating on this flight will be re-assigned to Taipei Taoyuan – Bangkok CI833/834 service.

From 11JUL11, China Eastern Airlines will replace its subsidiary Shanghai Airlines’ operation on 3 weekly Shanghai Pu Dong – Hanoi and Daily Shanghai Pu Dong – Ho Chi Minh service. Subsidiary Shanghai Airlines continues to operate 2 weekly Shanghai Pu Dong – Da Nang service.

Air China launch Rikaze/Shigatse, Tibet service
Air China starting 08JUL11 will launch Chengdu – Rikaze/Shigatse 3 weekly service on board Airbus A319 aircraft. Rikaze/Shigatse is the 2nd highest airport in terms of elevation in the Tibet Autonomous Region. Elevation is 3782 meter. located 43km from the town center.
Rikaze/Shigatse is Tibet’s 5th airport, as well as Air China’s 5th destination in the region. The Star member also serves Bangda/Changdu, Lhasa, Lin Zhi and Si-Quan-He.

Air China reducing Munich and Dusseldorf service in July 2011
As per 29JUN11 GDS timetable display, Air China from 01JUL11 to 31JUL11 will reduce service by 1 weekly flight each on Beijing – Dusseldorf and Beijing – Munich route.
Dusseldorf reduces from 4 to 3 weekly, while Munich reduces from 5 to 4 weekly (includes twice weekly service extended to Athens, which is unaffected).

Air China Re-configured A330-200 International Operation July – Oct 2011
As per 29JUN11 GDS timetable display, Air China’s re-configured Airbus A330-200 aircraft (C30Y208) is gradually entering International service starting July 2011, in addition to selected domestic service.
The re-configured A330-200 features new lie-flat Business Class seating. Existing A330-200 layout is C36Y215 and C12Y271. Planned re-configured A330-200 aircraft is currently scheduled to operate on following service.
Note all specific routes, operational period and days with re-configured A330-200 aircraft mentioned below is subject to change, and may be substituted with other aircraft with older products.

As per 29JUN11 GDS timetable display, Korean Air is postponing Boeing 737-900ER service on Seoul Incheon – Ho Chi Minh route by 1 week.
The 2nd Daily service, due to be launched from 01JUL11, will be operated by Boeing 737-800. -900ER service is now scheduled to begin from 08JUL11.

ASIANA AIRLINES has further extended codeshare operation with Turkish Airlines, which its “OZ” code is now appearing on Turkish Airlines’ Istanbul Ataturk – Nairobi route.
