TAP Portugal from June 2012 is adding new service to Berlin Brandenburg and Turin. The former operates 5 times a week while the latter sees 4 weekly flights.
The Star Alliance member last operated service to Berlin (Tegel) in 1998/99. Current subsidiary PGA Portugalia used to operate this service in 2000s.

Air China Starts Chengdu – Kathmandu NONSTOP Service from Jan 2012

From 05JAN12 to 24MAR12, Air China is adjusting service to Nepal. 2 of Existing 4 weekly Chengdu – Lhasa – Kathmandu service will operate as NONSTOP Chengdu – Kathmandu, by-passing Lhasa stop. The nonstop flight will be 1hr 10mins TO 1hr 40mins shorter than 1-stop service.

ANA Revises Boeing 787-8 International Operations Jan – Mar 2012

As of 15DEC11, ANA has made selected adjustments to planned Boeing 787-8 International operation, which sees Tokyo Haneda – Beijing service operated by the Dreamliner on selected dates in January 2012.
On Tokyo Haneda – Frankfurt route, 21JAN12 launch date remains unchanged. However, Daily 787 operation is postponed from 01FEB12 to 29FEB12. ANA is maintaining Daily Service during the month of Feb 2012, but sees 777-200ER operating along with 787.

Malaysia Airlines Ends Rome Service in late-Jan 2012

As per 15DEC11 GDS inventory display, Malaysia Airlines starting 02FEB12 is cancelling its 3 weekly Kuala Lumpur – Rome service, on board Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. All classes of service are Zero’d out in MH’s inventory system at time this post goes to press.
The airline is operating last flight on 31JAN12 from Rome, ending its operation to the Italian capital after nearly 20 years of operation.

KLM Consolidates Operation at Milan to Linate Airport from S12

From 25MAR12, KLM is consolidating its operation at Milan. It’ll be cancelling its 3 Daily Amsterdam – Milan Malpensa service, while increasing Amsterdam – Milan Linate flight from 2 to 4 Daily.
Note overall service to Milan will be reduced from 6 to 4 Daily.
