Romanian carrier Carpatair in Summer 2012 season is launching new base from Chisinau in Moldova, with the introduction of Boeing 737-300 aircraft to 4 cities in Italy.
The airline from 25MAR12 is to offer 2 weekly to Bologna, and 3 weekly each to Milan Bergamo, Rome and Venice.

Jin Air Starts 3 New International Services from Seoul Dec 2011 – Feb 2012

Korean Air’s low-cost unit Jin Air last week (22DEC11 – 24DEC11) has launched several new international services under scheduled charter basis.

ANA Boeing 787 Service to Osaka / Yamaguchiube / Matsuyama begins Jan – Mar 2012

ANA today (27DEC11) announced the introduction of Boeing 787 operation on additional domestic routes. The Star Alliance member has updated the flight information in its reservation system, which sees minor conflicts with the press release.
From 23JAN12, Boeing 787-8 enters operation on Tokyo Haneda – Yamaguchiube and Tokyo Haneda – Osaka Itami route. Initially service operates once daily. However the press release didn’t mention that from 01FEB12, both service operates twice daily with Boeing 787 (however Osaka service returns to 1 Daily 787 from 01MAR12).
From 01MAR12, Boeing 787 to operate Tokyo Haneda – Matsuyama route twice a day. On Existing service, the airline operates Daily 787 service to Hiroshima, and 3 Daily to Okayama (2 in March 2012, not mentioned by the airline)
Also, the Star Alliance member will introduce revised livery on Boeing 787 aircraft from frame number 3, with the addition of “787″ title. (See ANA Press Release 27DEC11)

LANColombia (formerly known as Aires) from 01FEB12 is transferring Bogota – Ft. Lauderdale service to Bogota – Miami, where it’ll offer 4 weekly flights on board Airbus A320 aircraft.
Currently the carrier operates Daily service to Ft. Lauderdale with Boeing 737-700. With LANColombia operating service to Miami, overall LAN Airlines Group service on Bogota – Miami increases from 3 to 7 weekly.

Air New Zealand to Start Australia – Norfolk Island Service from Mar 2012

Air New Zealand starting March 2012 will launch service between Australia and Norfolk Island.
From 02MAR12, it’ll launch 2 weekly Sydney – Norfolk Island, followed by 2 weekly Brisbane – Norfolk Island on the following day. Both of these routes currently exclusively served by Norfolk Air, using Nauru’s Our Airline’s Boeing 737 aircraft.

This route, which was rescheduled from November 2011 to 05MAR12, is now further pushed back to 27MAR12. The Skyteam member will operate twice weekly as planned, however, service operates with Airbus A330-200 instead of Boeing 777-200ER, as well as schedule change.
