Lufthansa W13 Long-Haul Operation Changes as of 30AUG13

Update at 0420GMT 30AUG13

As per 30AUG13 GDS timetable/inventory display, latest changes to Lufthansa’s planned Long-Haul operation in Winter 2013/14 season, effective 27OCT13, as follow. This also includes selected mid-haul service.

Frankfurt – Riyadh Airbus A330-300 replaced by following
27OCT13 – 01MAR14 Airbus A340-300
02MAR14 – 29MAR14 Airbus A340-600 (NEW Adjustment)

Frankfurt – Vancouver Airbus A340-300 operation in Winter 2012/13 season replaced by following
27OCT13 – 28JAN14 Airbus A340-600
29JAN14 – 29MAR14 Boeing 747-400 (NEW Adjustment)

Munich – Riyadh – Jeddah
*Service reduced from 5 weekly to 4 weekly (Day x157; Previous plan Day x467). Riyadh – Jeddah sector is cancelled from 27OCT13
*28JAN14 – 26FEB14 Day 246 operated by A340-300 instead of A330-300

Frankfurt – Johannesburg Airbus A380 service resumes from 27OCT13
Frankfurt – Kuwait – Dammam 3 of 7 weekly Kuwait service extends to Dammam, A330-300 operating (Dammam overall service increases from 4 weekly to daily)
Frankfurt – Luanda Airbus A330-300 replaces A340-300, 2 weekly service
Frankfurt – Mexico City Boeing 747-8I replaces 747-400 (from 02SEP13)
Frankfurt – New York JFK Boeing 747-400 continues to operate 2 daily services
Frankfurt – Seoul Incheon Service reduced from daily to 5 weekly (Day x13 from FRA, Day x24 from ICN), A340-600 operating
Frankfurt – Shanghai Pu Dong Boeing 747-400 replaced by following aircraft
380 Day x13 (Day x24 from PVG, effective 25SEP13)
346 Day 13 (Day 24 from PVG)

Frankfurt – Tehran Airbus A330-300 operates on Day x4 (Day x5 from IKA), instead of A340-300. Overall daily service
Frankfurt – Tokyo Narita Boeing 747-400 replaces A380 in Winter 2013/14 season

A number of long-haul service to be operated with reduced frequencies during low season, where 1-2 weekly frequencies are cancelled during January and/or February 2014
