Air Asia X today (10AUG11) announced it’ll launch 4 weekly Kuala Lumpur – Osaka Kansai service, its 2nd destination in Japan.
Airbus A330-300 aircraft to operate this service.
Air Asia X has announced starting 24OCT11, its Kuala Lumpur – London service will move from Stansted to Gatwick Airport.
During the month of November 2011, the airline is temporary reducing service to London from 6 to 3 weekly (Reported on 05MAY11). From 01DEC11, service will operate 5 times a week.
Air Asia X on 02JUN11 issued Request for Proposal (RFP) for its planned European expansion in 2012, as the carrier will begin receiving 5 Airbus A330-200, as well as reallocating Airbus A340-300.
Air Asia X issued the RFP via RoutesOnline, a partner of this website, marking the first time an airline issue major RFP via RoutesOnline.

From 30OCT11, Air Asia and Air Asia X will be changing operational flight numbers on International service out of Kuala Lumpur. The new flight number range and the list of flight number changes and specific routes as follows:
From 12AUG11, Air Asia X is adjusting Kuala Lumpur – Taipei Taoyuan schedule. 3 of 7 weekly flights (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays) will move from morning to evening flights form Kuala Lumpur. Taipei departure subsequently moves to red-eye flight.
Also, this route is reducing from Daily to 6 weekly during the month of October 2011.

Air Asia X announced it’ll launch 3 weekly Kuala Lumpur – Tokyo Haneda service with 365-seater Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
Air Asia X from 01NOV10 launches Daily Kuala Lumpur – Seoul Incheon service. Operating aircraft is Airbus A330, but may switch to Airbus A340.
As per 25MAR10 GDS timetable display, Air Asia X in July 2010 is temporary reducing Kuala Lumpur – Taipei service from 9 to 8 weekly.

Air Asia X has resumed Kuala Lumpur – Tianjin service since 01FEB10. It is operating the service 5 times a week.
Air Asia X from 21FEB10 is suspending its 4 weekly Kuala Lumpur – Abu Dhabi service due to poor performance, just 3 months after launching this route.
Air Asia X from 23NOV09 to 31JAN10 is cancelling its Kuala Lumpur – Tianjin service. The airline cites the cancellation is due to low demand. This route was launched earlier this year.
