As per 22NOV11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Alitalia is to introduce new Airbus A330-200 aircraft on its Rome – Caracas operation.
The A330 is to operate this route during the month of May 2012, and from 16JUL12.

Alitalia Resumes Tripoli Service; Operating into Mitiga Airport in Nov 2011
Update at 0840GMT 04NOV11
Skyteam member Alitalia has resumed Rome – Tripoli service on 01NOV11. However, due to infrastructure issues, Tripoli flights is operating to/from Mitiga Airport, situated near the city center.
MD80 aircraft operates this service 5 times a week. Service to return to Tripoli International Airport (TIP) by 01DEC11, but this is depending on the refurbishment project.

Alitalia W11 Beijing schedule change as of 13OCT11
As per 13OCT11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Alitalia once again has rescheduled planned Winter 2011 operation for its Rome – Beijing service.
It appears that the Skyteam member is now confirmed to be getting morning slots at Beijing, instead of noon hours.

Alitalia Latest Beijing schedule change in W11 as of 04AUG11
AS per 04AUG11 GDS timetable display, Alitalia has reversed planned schedule change on Rome – Beijing service for Winter 2011/12 season.
It appears that the Skyteam carrier is able to secure mid-day slot at Beijing airport, instead of early-morning hours between 0400-0600hrs.

AIRFRANCE adds new codeshare destinations via TAROM and Alitalia
AIRFRANCE has added new destinations in Europe via codesharing through its Skyteam partners.
AIRFRANCE’s “AF” code is now appearing on TAROM service to Chisinau in Moldova, and to Crotone in Italy via Alitalia. Codeshare routes and flight numbers as follows:
Alitalia W11 Long-Haul Operation Changes as 07JUL11: Chicago & Los Angeles Suspension
As per 07JUL11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Alitalia in Winter 2011/12 season is Suspending Rome – Chicago and Rome – Los Angeles service.
For Chicago, this would be the first time Alitalia temporary suspending the service since it launched the flight in early-1960s (in operation for close to 50 years), and also for the first time there will be no nonstop air traffic service between Chicago and Italy.
