Camair-Co Begins Lyon Service

Update at 0720GMT 02FEB12

Cameroon’s Camair-Co yesterday (01FEB12) has inaugurated service to Lyon, its 2nd destination in France (as well as Europe). Although the airline listed Lyon operation effective 30OCT11 in the schedule listing, but it did not launch the service until 31JAN12.

Boeing 737-700 aircraft operates Yaounde – Lyon – Douala routing thrice weekly.

Camair-Co Postpone Intra-Africa Service launch till Aug – Oct 2011

Cameroon’s Camair-Co has postponed planned Regional service within Africa. These service were due to launch in June 2011 but postponed till between mid-August 2011 and late-October 2011, including service to Bangui, Brazzaville, Cotonou, Dakar, Lagos and Libreville.

Cameroon’s Camair-Co Latest Operation Changes as of May 2011

As per 03MAY11 GDS timetable display, Cameroon’s Camair-Co has realigned its operation, which currently focus on domestic service as well as International service to Paris CDG.

Domestically out of Douala, the airline has scrapped planned nonstop service to Garoua and Maroua, where both are now operating via Yaounde.

New Cameroon carrier Camair to launch operation on 27MAR11

New Cameroon-based carrier Camair is launching operation on 27MAR11. The airline is operating a fleet of Boeing 737 and 767, offering service to Abidjan, Bangui, Brazzaville, Cotonou, Dakar, Garoua, Lagos, Libreville, Maroua, Yaounde and Paris CDG.

Service begins with sole long-haul flight to Paris on 27MAR11, followed by Domestic and Regional African route on 28MAR11 and 29MAR11.
