COPA Airlines from 23JUN12 plans to new service to Recife in Brazil, with 4 weekly Panama City – Recife operation on board Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
Flight schedule is now appearing in Amadeus timetable listing, but not appearing in COPA’s Internal system. Therefor reservation is not open at time this post goes to press.

UNITED / COPA Airlines to Launch Codeshare Service from mid-Oct 2011
UNITED and COPA Airlines starting 19OCT11 will begin codeshare operation. Initially UNITED’s “UA” code will be placed on all COPA’s Service between US (Including Puerto Rico) and Panama. COPA’s “CM” code will appear on selected UA Domestic market.

COPA Airlines Colombia starting 16DEC11 is offering new service to San Pedro Sula in Honduras, with Daily Bogota – Panama City – San Pedro Sula Embraer E190 flight.
Existing service on Bogota – Panama sector is unchanged with 6 Daily flights, as the new service to SAP is an extension from existing flight. On Panama – San Pedro Sula sector, the new flight is a nonstop service that complements existing COPA (Panama) daily 1-stop service.

COPA Airlines Colombia from 15JUN11 introduces 2nd weekly service on Bogota – Cancun service. The new flight operates on Wednesdays, in addition to Saturdays, operated by Embraer E190 aircraft.

COPA Airlines Colombia is delaying its planned service launch on Bogota – Caracas and cancels planned Cartagena – Caracas route.
Both these routes are due to start from 14JUN11. Service from Bogota sees launch date pushed till 04JUL11, while Cartagena departure is postponed indefinitely. Existing 4 weekly Medellin – Caracas service sees schedule changes from 04JUL11, instead of 17JUN11.

COPA from 18JUN11 is introducing 4 weekly Panama City – Brasilia route, offering nonstop service between Brazil and Panama’s capital.
Brasilia is COPA’s 4th destination overall (and 2nd in Brazil) to be launched in Northern Summer 2011 season, operated by Boeing 737-700 aircraft. COPA in June 2011 launches Porto Alegre and Toronto, as well as Nassau.
