Korean Air since 01MAR12 has introduced 3rd Daily service on Seoul Incheon – Busan service, on board Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The 3rd daily flight is being maintained on/after 25MAR12.

However, starting 02APR12, this route is only available for reservation for connecting from/to another Korean Air’s International flights.

Korean Air to Base Additional Boeing 747 Aircraft at Seoul Gimpo for S12 International Flights

2nd Update at 1050GMT 15MAR12

Korean Air in Summer 2012 season is transferring additional 1-2 Boeing 747-400 aircraft from Seoul Incheon to Seoul Gimpo Airport, where the 747 will be the exclusive aircraft type to operate International service. Therefore, existing Seoul Gimpo – Osaka Kansai (previously reported on 23FEB12), Seoul Gimpo – Beijing and Seoul Gimpo – Shanghai Hongqiao will switch from Airbus A300, A330-300 and Boeing 737-900 respectively to Boeing 747-400.

The Skyteam member already operates 747 aircraft on Seoul Gimpo – Tokyo Haneda service.

On 08FEB12, this website reported latest changes to Korean Air’s Summer 2012 operation changes.

For Cairo entry, it was stated that the 3 weekly service (Seoul Incheon – Tashkent – Cairo) is to be cancelled from 25MAR12. As per 09FEB12 GDS Inventory and timetable display, Cairo service is to be resumed from 24SEP12 as NONSTOP flight, on board Airbus A330-200 aircraft twice weekly.

Reservation on/after 24SEP12 is now open.
