As per 04APR12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Pakistan International Airlines has cancelled planned service resumption to Colombo, due 31MAR12. The airline previously planned twice weekly Lahore – Colombo service with Airbus A310 aircraft.

As per 20FEB12 GDS timetable and inventory display, Pakistan International Airlines from 31MAR12 is resuming service to Sri Lanka, after a brief suspension.
Upon service resumption, the airline is operating Lahore – Colombo on board Airbus A310 aircraft twice weekly, which sees the return of Business Class service.

As per 03FEB12 GDS Inventory display, Pakistan International Airlines from 24MAR12 once again cancels service to Chicago, which currently operates twice weekly via Barcelona.
The Pakistani flag carrier will maintain service to Barcelona, however. Reservation for Chicago is closed for the moment. Existing schedule as follows:

Pakistan International Airlines has cancelled its 2 weekly Karachi – Colombo service in early-January 2012. Service was operated by Boeing 737-300. This leaves SriLankan Airlines as the sole operator on this route, which just increased from 5 weekly to Daily in late-Dec 2011.

Pakistan International Airlines yesterday (19JUL11) operated last service to Istanbul. The airline was operating twice weekly Islamabad – Abu Dhabi – Istanbul route with Airbus A310.
The airline starting today will maintain its presence via codesharing on Turkish Airlines’ 3 weekly Islamabad – Istanbul service, which begins today. PIA already codeshares on TK’s Karachi – Istanbul route.

Turkish Airlines starting 21JUL11 is launching 3 weekly Istanbul Ataturk – Islamabad route, on board Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Pakistan International Airlines starting 01JUL11 will begin Karachi – Madinah service. The flight operates twice weekly with Boeing 747-300 aircraft.
From 01JUN11, Pakistan International Airlines PLANS to increase capacity on New York JFK service. As of 13APR11, the new flight is appearing in timetable/schedule listing in GDS, but not appearing in PIA’s in-house system for reservation.
Per timetable listing, overall service increases from 3 to 4, and the 4th weekly service operates with 777-300ER, which operates Karachi – Lahore – Manchester – New York JFK route. With the addition of this weekly service, PIA offers weekly round-trip Manchester – New York JFK service. Currently the airline operates 3 weekly flights to New York JFK, westbound via Manchester, Eastbound nonstop to Pakistan.

Pakistan International Airlines starting 29MAR11 is reducing operation and capacity on its recently resumed Karachi – Colombo service.
The flight was resumed on 19FEB11, operating 3 times a week with Airbus A310. However, this changes to 2 weekly Boeing 737 aircraft from 29MAR11. Accompanied with the aircraft change, Business Class service will also be canceled.
As per 07JAN11 GDS timetable display, Pakistan International Airlines is canceling service to Glasgow. It currently operates 2 weekly Lahore – Glasgow route with Airbus A310, but will operate last service on 19JAN11.

Pakistan International Airlines starting 15JAN11 is launching service the Iranian border city of Zahedan on board ATR42-500 turboprop aircraft. Service operates twice weekly on Karachi – Quetta – Zahedan routing.
Per FLIFO, selected carrier’s long-haul operation into London Heathrow, which sees diversions, as follows. These covers from 17DEC10 to 19DEC10.
As per 01DEC10 GDS timetable display, Pakistan International Airlines has made several adjustments to its International operation in Winter 2010, which mostly involves in routing changes.
As per 05NOV10 GDS timetable display, Pakistan International Airlines is adjusting service to Barcelona and Chicago in Winter 2010 season. In particular for Barcelona, the airline has launched overall 3rd weekly service.
As per 06OCT10 GDS timetable display, Pakistan International Airlines from 16OCT10 is to operate Boeing 777-300ER aircraft of 1 of 2 weekly Barcelona/Chicago service.
From this date, Saturdays service PK795/796 Islamabad – Karachi – Barcelona – Chicago – Barcelona – Lahore – Karachi operates with Boeing 777-300ER, replacing -200ER. PK793/794 in opposite direction (KHI LHE BCN ORD BCN ISB KHI) operating on Wednesdays remains -200ER operation.
Pakistan International Airlines on 05JUN10 and 12JUN10 is to operate Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on Islamabad – Karachi – Barcelona – Chicago O’Hare service, replacing -200ER. Also, on 11AUG10, 777-300ER operates Lahore – Barcelona – Chicago instead of -200ER as well.
The airline is starting service to Chicago today (02JUN10) with 777-200ER.
Pakistan International Airlines has canceled planned 2 weekly Lahore – Dhaka – Guangzhou service, due to start from 28APR10.
Per 01MAR10 GDS timetable display, Pakistan International Airlines from 28APR10 is starting 2 weekly Lahore – Dhaka – Guangzhou service. This would be the airlines’ return to Guangzhou after suspending the service for over three decades.
