As per 18NOV11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Philippine Airlines is extending service cancellation on Manila – Delhi nonstop sector, which operates 3 times a week. The flight originally due to resume from 28NOV11, but this is now postponed until 25MAR12, the start of Summer 2012 season.

Philippine Airlines is planning to restore service to Vancouver back to Daily, which was reduced since late-September 2011.

The airline has reduced the service from Daily to 5 weekly (4 weekly A340-300 and 1 weekly Boeing 777-300ER). The airline plans restore service to Daily by 23NOV11.

AS per 21SEP11 GDS timetable and inventory display, Philippine Airlines is reducing service to Delhi.

Manila – Delhi nonstop service has reduced from 3 to 2 weekly, and will be suspended from 06OCT11 to 27NOV11. Upon service resumption, the flight will operate twice weekly. The airline plans to operate 3 weekly service once again from 29FEB12.

Philippine Airlines reduce Riyadh flight and suspension from Apr 2011

Philippine Airlines is gradually reducing service on Manila – Riyadh route, and eventually will cancel the service, as per 31JAN11 GDS inventory display.

From 30JAN11, 4 weekly service reduces to 3 with Saturdays departure from Manila (Sundays from Riyadh) canceled. From 09FEB11, this further reduce to 2 weekly with Tuesdays flight canceled (Wednesdays from Riyadh).

Philippine Airlines adjustments to Bangkok service in S11

As per 31JAN11 GDS timetable display, Philippine Airlines adjusted Manila – Bangkok service in Summer 2011 season, which sees the airline to maintain 14 weekly service. Previously reported on this site on 19NOV10, it was to increase the service from 14 to 17 weekly, followed by the introduction of new 3 weekly Manila – Bangkok – Delhi (and 3 weekly Manila – Delhi).

However, this increase will not go ahead, but will see operational changes.

Philippine Airlines as per 23DEC10 GDS timetable display further adjust planned Australia operation effective 27MAR11. Previously the airline planned to increase from 5 to 6 weekly, but it is now increasing to Daily. There is also routing change, with Manila – Melbourne – Sydney – Manila operating 4 weekly, opposite direction 3 weekly.

Philippine Airlines to launch 777-300ER service to Vancouver in S11

As per 09DEC10 GDS timetable display, Philippine Airlines is to introduce 370-seater Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on Trans-Pacific service in Summer 2011.

From 27MAR11, Boeing 777-300ER aircraft replaces 264-seater Airbus A340-300 on Manila – Vancouver PR116/117 service, 3 times a week. The remaining 4 weekly service, PR106/107, with onward service to Las Vegas, remains A340 service. With the aircraft change, Vancouver gets additional 318 seats per week per direction.

As per GDS timetable display on 09DEC10, Philippine Airlines starting 27MAR11 is adjusting service to Australia, where overall service increases from 5 weekly to 6 weekly. Selected flights will also see Airbus A340-300 replacing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Philippine Airlines to launch Delhi service in S11

As per 19NOV10 GDS timetable display, Philippine Airlines from 27MAR11 is launching service to 6 weekly service to Delhi in India. Airbus A330-300 aircraft is to operate 3 weekly NONSTOP Manila – Delhi and 3 weekly Manila – Bangkok – Delhi route. PR has local traffic rights on Bangkok – Delhi sector. At time this post goes to press, reservation is not yet open.

With the new service, Manila – Bangkok is increasing from 14 to 17 weekly. PR is to become the 7th carrier to operate Bangkok – Delhi service, where THAI operates 2 Daily, 1 Daily each for Air India, AirAsia, Jet Airways and Cathay Pacific. Kingfisher Airlines operates 6 weekly.
